Rates and insurance coverage
Information about my rates and insurance coverage
The rates for therapy for 2026 are listed below. You do not need a referral from a general practitioner or specialist to see me. This means you can simply schedule an appointment yourself. Furthermore, there is currently no waiting list, so you can usually come in for an intake session within two weeks.
Rates
Individual psychodynamic therapy
• Intake (60 minutes): €85
• Psychodynamic therapy session (75 minutes): €100
Note: Individual psychodynamic therapy is tax-exempt, so no VAT is charged, and it may
be covered by supplemental health insurance.
Couples Therapy
• Intake (75 minutes): €95
• Couples therapy session (90 minutes): €165
Brainspotting
• Brainspotting intake (60 minutes): €85
• Brainspotting session (75 minutes): €100
• Brainspotting package (5 sessions of 75 minutes): €450
Note: The rates listed for couples therapy and Brainspotting do not include 21% VAT and
are not covered by supplemental insurance.
Insurance Providers and Reimbursement
Because I am a member of the VBAG professional association and the RBCZ umbrella organization, your health insurance provider may cover (part of) the consultation if you have supplemental insurance. Please review the terms of your insurance policy or contact your health insurance provider for the latest information on reimbursement.
My sessions are therefore not covered by basic insurance. However, this also offers a number of important advantages:
• No referral from a primary care physician is required;
• Your deductible is not affected;
• No information needs to be shared with your health insurer.
Payment and Billing
After each session, you can pay at the practice using a debit card, or choose to pay later via invoice. Regardless of the payment method, you will always receive an invoice. I kindly ask that you settle the invoice within the specified payment period.
Are you unable to attend or do you want to cancel an appointment?
You can cancel an appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled session. If you do not cancel in time, you will be charged for the session.

Privacy
Everything we discuss and all information recorded are strictly confidential. If you wish to consult with third parties, this is possible, but only with your express consent.
Your privacy
To ensure proper treatment, it is necessary for me, as your treating therapist, to create a file. This is also a legal obligation under the WGBO. Your file contains notes about your health condition and details about the treatments provided. The file also includes information necessary for your treatment that I have requested from another healthcare provider—such as your primary care physician—with your explicit consent.
I do my best to safeguard your privacy. This means, among other things, that I:
• Handle personal and medical information with care,
• Ensure that unauthorized persons do not have access to your information
As your treating therapist, I am the only person with access to the information in your file, and I am bound by a legal duty of confidentiality (professional secrecy). The information in your file may also be used for the following purposes:
• To inform other healthcare providers, for example, when therapy has been completed or when referring you to another practitioner. This will only occur with your explicit consent.
• For use by a substitute practitioner during my absence.
• Or for anonymized use during peer review.
• A small portion of the information in your file is used for financial administration so that I can issue an invoice
If I wish to use your data for any other reason, I will first inform you and explicitly ask for your consent. This data in the client file will be retained for 20 years, as required by the Treatment Agreement Act, unless you request its destruction. In that case, the
consent granted below will lapse.
Professional Code
Being a member of a professional association means that, as a psychodynamic therapist, I must meet strict requirements to practice my profession. This ensures quality and proper care for you as a client.
Professional associations with which I am registered:
• VBAG (Association for the Promotion of Alternative Medicine) – Registration number 22508013
• RBCZ (Register of Complementary Care Practitioners) – Member number 220696S
Complaints Procedure
In my practice, I value thoroughness and open communication. If you are dissatisfied with a treatment or how it was conducted, I would like to hear from you. Often, simply talking things through can clarify the situation and help us find a solution together. If we are unable to resolve the issue together, you may contact an independent complaints officer. This person will assist you in formulating your complaint or
expressing your dissatisfaction, and will help brainstorm possible solutions. I will be notified of this so that we can work together toward a satisfactory resolution.
My practice is affiliated with an independent complaints organization. You can find more information about this on the website of my professional association, VBAG: https://vbag.nl/consument/klachten-en-geschillen/.
